Consortium Active
The TEI Consortium is an international membership organization that collectively develops and maintains the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) Guidelines, a widely used standard for the representation of texts in digital form in the humanities and social sciences. Operating continuously since the 1980s, the TEI community maintains technical standards, a journal, a wiki, a GitHub repository, and a toolchain for scholarly text encoding, supporting research in digital humanities, linguistics, literary studies, and cultural heritage.
