Schema.org is a collaborative, community-driven project that creates, maintains, and promotes schemas for structured data markup on web pages. Founded in 2011 by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Yandex, Schema.org publishes a shared vocabulary that webmasters can use to mark up content in formats such as Microdata, RDFa, and JSON-LD, enabling search engines and other applications to understand and present web content more effectively.
