Government Agency Active

The National Archives of Australia (NAA) is an Australian Government agency that serves as the official repository for all federal government documents. Established under the Archives Act 1983, the NAA collects, preserves, and provides public access to government records and other archival material of national significance. The agency also promotes good information management practices across government agencies and has contributed to the development of metadata standards for records management, including AGLS Metadata and the Australian Government Recordkeeping Metadata Standard.
