Based in London, IPTC develops and maintains widely adopted standards for news exchange and metadata, including the IPTC Photo Metadata standard (embedded in JPEG/TIFF files worldwide), NewsML-G2 for structured news content, and the IPTC Media Topics taxonomy for subject classification of news.
