The DBpedia Association is a Germany-based non-profit organization that maintains and develops the DBpedia project, a community effort to extract structured content from Wikipedia and make it available as a linked data knowledge base on the Semantic Web. Founded in 2014 as the organizational entity behind the DBpedia project (which originated in 2007), the Association coordinates community contributions, maintains the extraction framework, and provides infrastructure for querying relationships and properties of Wikipedia resources through SPARQL endpoints and linked data interfaces.
