The Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA) is a Japan-based industry association that develops standards and promotes technologies related to photography and imaging products. Its members include manufacturers of film-based and digital cameras and related equipment. CIPA succeeded the Japan Camera Industry Association (JCIA) and is responsible for standards including Exif and the CIPA DC protocol standards.
