Bioschemas is a community-driven project that builds on Schema.org to provide structured markup specifications tailored for the life sciences. By defining profiles and types specific to biological and biomedical resources such as genes, proteins, samples, and training materials, Bioschemas improves the findability of life science data on the web. The project encourages adoption of lightweight semantic markup by data repositories, journals, and research organizations to enable better discovery and integration of scientific resources.
